About the author
Manoj Kumar Rawat is a senior banking and development finance professional with over three decades of experience in rural banking, agriculture finance, warehousing, microfinance, ESG and climate-aligned finance. A B.Tech (Gold Medallist), M.E., MBA (Finance) and CAIIB, he has served in leadership roles at ISRO, NABARD, Fullerton India and RBL Bank.
He currently works as an Independent Strategic Advisor and Consultant in Agriculture & Rural Banking, MSME Finance, Commodity Finance, Warehousing, and Sustainable / Climate Finance.
He is an alumnus of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology and has completed the Executive Leadership Certificate Programme from Cornell University, USA.
Manoj has been part of national and state-level committees and working groups on agribusiness, rural development, climate change, financial inclusion and responsible digital finance. He has been recognized in leading industry forums for his contribution to agriculture, rural banking and inclusive finance.
He brings a practical blend of grassroots exposure and policy-shaping experience, having worked closely with farmers, FPOs, MFIs, financial institutions, regulators and international development bodies.
His focus remains on making agriculture, MSME and climate finance implementation-ready, accessible and outcome-oriented for institutions, practitioners and policymakers.
